Cuba has one of the highest qualified health care services in the world. We were asked by the main health care organization in Cuba to promote the knowledge and specialties in Cuba in the Benelux countries. Cuba has a lot of experience with the treatment of RP patients due of a great number of those patients in Cuba and the isolated position of the island and there medical opinions worldwide.

The Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) treatment was the specialty JBC-Agencies focused on. Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) is a progressive disorder of the retina membrane. The retina is the membrane inside the eye, where images are being formed and sent to the brains with a signal.

The most important symptoms of RP are:

• Night-blindness: seeing bad at night and only seeing lights for example
• Limited face field: tunnel vision
• Dazzling: often wearing sunglasses because of not standing sunlight
